SENIOR CMF DESIGN MANAGER, AP/ Logitech/ Taiwan/ Feb 2017- Nov 2022
- Built the CMF Design Team in Taiwan. Managed resources and mentored a team of 7 to conduct various projects from the Vision stage to Production.
- Lead CMF Strategy & Vision for C&PMainstream & Lifestyle product categories. Specific products included; speakers, headphones, earphones, keyboards & mice.
- Worked closely with the marketing & portfolio management teams to iterate & present design strategies related to the product portfolio roadmap and the overall design language.
- Formulated plans and implemented trends research for Global and the Asia Pacific markets; then translated findings to insights into compelling visual themes and stories for various products. This process culminates with presentations and 'appearance models' presented by my team and me to the business group leaders and the sales teams to obtain their sign-offs.
- Managed good relationships with a whole host of internal and external engineers. Developed product ingredients and liaised with vendors of various materials; fabrics, plastics, color coatings, metals, and elastomers.
- Worked collaboratively within the Design & Engineer Team across regions, APAC, USA, and EMEA to set up and accelerate workflows, internal workshops, trends research, and design insights that lead to the Global color palette/ future materials shared across all Business Groups.

CMF DESIGNER, BMW Group Designworks/ Shanghai/ Nov2015- Feb 2017
- Lead CMF strategies for third-party client projects, including; aviation interiors, wearables, accessories, kids' toys, and electronic products. Mainly for China brands.
- Proposed and guided 3rd party clients on BMW brand identity applied to products such as BMW Tricycles for kids and BMW accessories.
- Managed good relationships with suppliers for new innovative ingredients and introduced them to the team
Achievements
- Conducted CMF concepts for automotive, including; exterior and interior CMF proposals. Materials include; plastic, metal, soft material, seat pattern-stitching details, and brand accessories. Liaised successfully with vendors for BMW, Zinoro, & Brilliance China.
- Formulated plans and implemented trends research in finding the next luxury, including; China, Hong Kong, and Korea. Conducted ethnographic studies and expert interviews in various progressive places. Worked on 360 Phenomena Trends Research, which shows new upcoming phenomena in Asia.

- Work on Premium Decoration color and surfacing technology exploration for the 2017 palette; this included factory visits in Shenzhen.
- Involved in Microsoft Mobile 600 Series' 2017 color palette exploration.
- Work on design trends research of inspirational brands with CMF variations applied to the 2017 color palette.

- Managed & lead a team of 5 to conduct trend workshops, visual trends analysis, new product design development, room scenes design, and media & event planning.
- Mentored and guided the team through analyzing and implementing trends research, including; content generation, visual presentations, and trends book implementation. The outcome led to trends in various products and events, including; Cotto tiles, SCG room scenes in the Experience Center, and ASA 2014/ 2015 events (Thailand’s most significant annual Architecture event.)
- Managed relationships and liaised with various vendors, including; prototyping, product development, prints, and event planning.

INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER, Creative Technology/ Singapore/ Oct - Conducted headphone market trends research; analyzed and transformed concepts into compelling visual presentations.
- Produced concept sketches and ideations, 3-D Pro Engineer modeling, 2-D product renderings, CMF variations, including material specification and details.

CMF DESIGNER, OSIM International/ Singapore/ Oct 2011- Sep 2012
- Conducted design research, concept ideations and analyzed consumer trends, which led to new product solutions that meet customers' needs. The process also includes implementing compelling visual presentations and product marketing taglines.
- Worked on color & trends forecasting/ product color variations, material specs & details.
- Worked collaboratively and led the process of the color palette for OSIM 2012/2013 products, including prototyping and color matching with various soft and hard materials.
- Managed relationships with vendors, mainly in China, for prototyping, pilot-built samples, and new material exploration. Frequent travels to China
